In response to the ongoing nationwide shortage of GLP-1 medications such as Semaglutide and Tirzepatide, we have a new option for patients having trouble finding medications available, and affording them without insurance coverage.

We are working with a nationwide compounding pharmacy that is licensed and able to ship to all states except CA.  Although this is the only compounding pharmacy Bridgeside works with, we, as always, will send your medications to any retail pharmacy you choose (CVS, Walmart, etc).

Drug shortages have created a tremendous strain on the ability to provide adequate medical care. National drug shortages worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic, and this was exacerbated by manufacturing plant closures and limitations on transportation. Compounding pharmacies helped meet the pharmaceutical need during this critical time.

This compounding pharmacy partners with  FDA-registered analytical testing lab to ensure the highest quality FDA approved grade pharmaceuticals. 

 

What regulations does this compounding pharmacy follow?

• They are supervised by licensed pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, as well as their individual state licensing boards of pharmacy

• They must comply with the FDA regulations outlined in Section 503A in the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act of 1938 in order to operate

• Only FDA approved active pharmaceutical ingredients are used in their compounded medications

• They must comply with all Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) rules and regulations in the use of controlled substances

• They must follow United States Pharmacopeia (USP) guidelines and standards, which sets the requirements for acceptable chemical purity, quality, and strength of all ingredients used in compounds
